Together with H.E. Ambassador F. Türker Oba, we visited Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH).

The visit was also joined by Sertan Bilgi of Elvemed, who is active in the field of health tourism.
Following the recent fire at the hospital, we carried out on-site assessments to identify emerging needs and held a productive meeting with hospital management. We were also informed that this visit marked the first international follow-up visit conducted by other organizations, reflecting our close attention and solidarity during a critical period.
The visit provided valuable insights into priorities on the ground and reaffirmed our shared commitment to supporting the resilience and continuity of health services in The Gambia.
